Evaluation strategy

The formal teaching and learning evaluation consists of an anonymous, written final evaluation which is carried out at the end of the teaching period (except in connection with the final teaching session).

All offered subjects are evaluated. In subjects taught by more than one lecturer at a time, a ’facilitator’ is appointed, who is responsible for the summary and the comments.

After completing the evaluation by the students, the lecturer must summarise the evaluations and provide their own comments.

The Study Board discusses the evaluations and may ask lecturers to elaborate on their comments.

See the evaluation questions further down the page.

The Study Board processes the results of the evaluations twice a year, cf. the annual cycle, and in connection with the status meetings for the Educational Report.

The results of the evaluations are published via the reporting form for the evaluation of education programmes.

The Study Board’s evaluation strategy is discussed at least once a year, cf. the annual cycle.

In order to qualify the evaluation and use it actively as part of the development of the quality of the education programme, the Study Board will convene lecturers and the person responsible for course the course for a discussion about the subjects’ pedagogical perspectives (approximately every two or three years).

Time should be allocated in the last teaching session for feedback/summary for the students. In subjects taught by more than one lecturer at a time, the lecturers must agree among themselves who will handle this task.

The Study Board has prepared an evaluation form. Upon request, it is possible to add questions regarding the individual subjects. The degree programme secretarial office is responsible for informing lecturers/facilitators when the evaluation till take place. The evaluations are presented to the Study Board. On the basis of the evaluations, the Study Board will determine if any follow-ups are necessary.
