PhD Committee
The PhD Committee has the following tasks:
- recommending a chairperson from among the academic staff of the PhD committee and, if necessary, a vice-chairperson from among the PhD committee's students to the rector.
- recommending the composition of assessment committees to the Rector.
- approveing PhD courses.
- preparing proposals for internal guidelines for the PhD school, including PhD supervision, to the head of the PhD school.
- providing statements on the evaluation of PhD education and supervision, including international evaluations of the PhD school, to the head of the PhD school.
- approving applications for credit transfer, including pre-approval of credit transfer, and for dispensations.
- providing statements on all matters of significance for PhD education and supervision that the Rector presents.
The PhD Committee consists of four academic staff members and four PhD students.
The head of the PhD school attends the meetings of the committee as a permanent observer, provided they are not elected as a member of the committee.
