    From idea to application

    SDU  offers service , consultation and background info relevant for small as well as large and complex applications that require research policy understanding. Below please find contact and information sources relevant for all project development stages or proposal writing phases. 

The Research Support Office (RSO) at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences offers support and advice to management and researchers at the Faculty who are applying for external research funding.
From a very early project development and establishing your network/consortium, to submission and interview training. On our website you can read about tips and tricks for writing the good application and find tools to help you structure your research project. In addition, you will find information about external funding opportunities with relevance for researchers at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences.

Finally, do not hesitate to contact us if you are considering applying for external funding. It is our experience that it is important to start up early so the project idea and application can be sharpened and targeted at the foundation and meet the relevant award criteria. SDU offers various support opportunities, that can help you meet requirements set by the different funding bodies.

  • The Research Data Management (RDM) support team at the University Library of Southern Denmark assists researchers with the organization, management, and curation of research data to enhance its preservation and access now and into the future.

  • Research Ethics Committee (REC) is responsible for institutional review and approval of research projects with SDU researchers as principle investigators. The possibility of obtaining a research ethics approval from REC is an offer, not a requirement.

The Research Analysis (RA) Support team at the Library can help to gain insight on how the rest of the world sees your research and give you the tools to use your metrics to your advantage. All our work is based on the ethical guidelines of the Leiden Manifesto. We provide services for individual researchers, but also for research units, departments and faculties.
