Seminal Stress Research

Hejsa SDU National Institute of Public Health,

I’m Charlie, a researcher at SDU working in collaboration with lovely Oliver Niebuhr on a project funded by the DSC.

Our project assesses the effect of vibroacoustic sound on stress. Using VibroAcoustics hardware that produces subsonic frequencies to provide a vibroacoustic sound massage, we will use biosignal measurements (EEG and ECG) to quantify the effect of sonic vibration on stress.

Our project will be taking place at the National Institute of Public Health from February 12th to February 19th. The study will be conducted during working hours and consists of participants laying individually on a module and experiencing a vibroacoustic sound massage which will played through noise-cancelling headphones.

As the project is with SDU and the competencies and research done at the SDU National Institute of Public Health is relevant and aligned to our field of work, we are happy that we get  to use a small space at the institute in Copenhagen to conduct the experiment. I’ve attached the project description for your reference here. We are delighted this collaboration is plausible and of course are happy to credit the department.

Really hoping for the best here,

Charlie
