Normally, your computer will update automatically, but if you experience problems with some features or apps, it might be a good idea to check if new updates are available.
1: Find "Search for Updates"
Use the search box at the bottom left in your start line to find the ’Check for Updates’ function.
NOTE: Be cautious NOT to enter ’Java Updates’
2: Check for Updates
If you can’t view any updates, you must search for updates by clicking the ’Check for updates’ button.
If new updates are available, your computer will start updating.
When it is finished, it will ask you to restart.
NOTE: Remember to save documents or files before restarting
3: Repeat the process and click the "View optional update" button
When your computer has finished updating, you must repeat the process – this is to ensure that your computer is fully updated.
The second time you search for updates, you can use the function ’View optional updates’.
Tick off all available and click ’Download and install’.
Once again, your computer will aks for a restart – and then it will be ready.
