The New Health Building
Efforts are still underway to prepare New SUND
While the move-in to Nyt SUND has begun, there is still work being done to prepare the building for the start of the semester. As a result, you might experience that everything is not completely in place when you move in.
Classes will start in the new HEALTH building on August 28, 2023, and it will truly come alive as several hundred students fill the many new facilities.
Leading up to the start of the semester and well into the new term, there is a high-pressure effort to make the building completely ready for use.
If you are among the first to move into New SUND, you will therefore experience that some things are just missing the final touch to be in place, while others will only be fully ready by the fall.
This means, among other things, that you will encounter craftsmen who are finalizing the building, and you might come across construction materials or boxes in various areas of the house.
It also means that some facilities are still in the process of being fully prepared for use.
For instance, meeting rooms in New SUND will be available for booking earliest from week 34, and AV equipment won't be in place across all meeting rooms from the beginning of the semester. The same applies to group rooms.
The mail rooms in New SUND are also not quite ready yet. Therefore, temporary delivery will be made to a designated office in the departments moving in August. The affected units will receive further instructions from local representatives.
Furthermore, not all printers will be installed immediately, which is why you might initially experience the need to walk a bit further for printing and copying.
