Before submitting a proposal for external funding the project must be coordinated in your research group and approved by your head of department.
Your department budget officer and the faculty Research Support Unit will support you throughout the application process. Make sure to involve both early in the process.
When commencing a project proposal reach out to your department research support contact for support in the application process and access to expert knowledge based on accumulated insights.
Coordinate the application in your research group to make sure you can allocate time to work on the application.
Agree with the head of your department on how the 10% project fee will be covered in case the foundation does not support overhead.
When you have a rough project design reach out to your department budget officer for support in budget calculations.
The budget officer will support you in calculating the budget using updated salary and cost levels. The budget officer will calculate the SDU budget sheet as well as the budget sheet particular to the foundation.
Involve the budget officer no later than 14 days before deadline.
All applications must be approved based on the budget by the head of department. Your department budget officer will obtain that approval.
Allocate a minimum of 5 working days for the approval process.
