Research Week

The Future is Now - AI, Robots, and Technological Development in Clinical Practice

The event is part of Research Week at the Clinical Institute and Odense University Hospital.

Get a glimpse into the future during Research Week when Christian B. Laursen, a professor in pulmonary medicine, moderates the theme "The Future is Now - AI, Robots, and Technological Development in Clinical Practice" on October 31st from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.  Christian will explain why you should attend and learn about AI, artificial intelligence:

What is the most exciting and current aspect of this topic?

AI is rapidly gaining ground in various sectors, both in businesses and in people's everyday lives. There is a lot of talk about the immense potential AI has to revolutionize healthcare, not only in terms of simple tasks but also in more complex activities such as diagnosing patients or planning treatment paths.

What can I gain from attending?

You will gain a comprehensive understanding of AI and its potential applications in healthcare, along with concrete examples of how AI is used at OUH.

Who is it particularly relevant for?

It is obvious to say that researchers in the AI and diagnostic fields should attend, but I actually believe that leaders and clinical personnel in a broad sense should also participate, as these tools may potentially become part of the daily routine for all OUH staff in the coming years.
