Research Week

Patients and Their Relatives - Key Collaborators in Research

The event is part of Research Week at the Clinical Institute and Odense University Hospital.

Discover the importance of involving patients and their relatives in both treatment and research during Research Week on October 31st from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Professors and physicians Torkell Ellingsen from the Rheumatology Department C and post-doctoral researcher and nurse Laila Twistmann Bay from the Gynecological Obstetric Department D will serve as moderators. Here's why you should attend:

What is the most exciting and current aspect of this topic?

Patient and relative involvement is vital and a current topic both clinically and in research. It also holds significant political relevance—how should it be prioritized and for what purpose, and what organizational challenges exist?

What can I gain from attending?

Participation provides the opportunity to gain knowledge about concrete clinical and research involvement of patients and relatives in both somatic and psychiatric contexts. You'll learn about the processes, initiation, and challenges of involving users/patients in research, as well as the potential collaborators to draw upon.

Who is it particularly relevant for?

This event is particularly relevant for researchers and clinicians seeking more knowledge and networks regarding patient and relative involvement—both for specific projects and initiatives within their departments and for insight into the processes and strategies for overall implementation in their departments.
