Evaluation strategy

Conducted at the lecturer’s request. A form is available. The evaluation is for the lecturer’s internal use and the lecturer decides which subjects are to be evaluated mid-term.
After each semester, an oral student reflection is conducted by the study mentor across disciplines. The results are reported to the Study Board.

There is freedom of method for evaluation. The five topics found in the EVAL questionnaire must be addressed in the evaluation (includes the topics below). The lecturer can use the evaluation form via EVAL (please inform the degree programme secretary at the beginning of the semester). A report based on the evaluation is submitted the Study Board.

A final evaluation is conducted for all new disciplines; disciplines conducted by a new lecturer since the last time around and disciplines with a changed course description. In addition, disciplines for which the lecturer desires evaluation.

See the five topics below.

No.
Questions
1 Purpose: The purpose of the subject and what I am expected to learn were made clear to me at an early stage of the teaching.
2 Link: There is a clear connection between the purpose of the subject, the content of the teaching and the exam.
3 Understanding: I have gained a greater understanding of the subject’s themes and topics through the teaching (incl. independent preparation, work in study groups etc.)
4 Activity: The teaching has supported me in actively learning (e.g. through discussions, exercises, group work and independent preparation)
5 Cooperation and dialogue: The cooperation and dialogue between students and lecturers was good
Scoring scale: 1 = strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = neither agree nor disagree, 4 = agree, 5 = strongly agree, 6 = undecided/irrelevant

The Study Board processes the results of the evaluations twice a year, cf. the annual cycle, and in connection with the status meetings for the Educational Report.

The results of the evaluations are published via the reporting form for the evaluation of education programmes.

The Study Board’s evaluation strategy is discussed at least once a year, cf. the annual cycle.

The evaluation can be done via EVAL. In addition, students are expected to be less tired of evaluations because not all disciplines are evaluated. The Study Board can remind the lecturer of the evaluation.
Initiatives initiated by the Study Board on the basis of the evaluations are communicated to the students via the students’ council.
