On 15 December, a large number of Denmark's leading researchers were able to enjoy an early Christmas present in the form of great grants from the Carlsberg Foundation.

Among the recipients were 20 of the University of Southern Denmark's talented researchers – including eight from the Faculty of Science.

For the university, it was a total of 33.4 million kroner in grants, of which 12.5 million kroner went to researchers at the Faculty of Science.

The seven Research Infrastructure Grants are given for equipment, register data and databases, while the Semper Ardens: Accelerate of DKK 5 million is given to a junior associate professor to build his own research group.
