Stand up at your next meeting
Spring is almost here, and hopefully the weather will soon be suitable for arranging more outdoor walk n’ talks. In the meantime, you might consider another meeting format with many of the same health benefits - namely, the standing meeting.
The sitting meeting format is a tradition for many, and the standing meeting may therefore seem unfamiliar, but there are many positive effects associated with the format.
Additionally, a standing meeting allows you to conduct the meeting as usual while still achieving many of the same health benefits as a walking meeting.
So while we wait for warmer weather, consider raising the table for the next meeting and contribute to creating a more active meeting culture at SDU.

- Reduces back and neck pain
- Improves posture
- Increases productivity (faster and decision-making process than a sitting meeting without compromising decision quality)
- Positive impact on mood and energy levels
- Different and inspiring meeting format that stimulates a creative process
When conducting standing meetings, keep in mind:
- The meeting should be kept under an hour.
- Some meeting participants may have difficulty standing. Offer a stool.
