Read the minutes from various meetings in April and May

In the following, please find six minutes from faculty meeting bodies from April and May.

In the minutes from the meeting of the faculty management on 2 May 2023 (Danish only, you can read about the following:

  • Status from the study counselling: Camilla Gundlach from the study counselling informed the faculty management at the meeting about trends in the faculty's study counselling based on counselling registrations from the autumn semester 2022.
  • This year's award recipients in Natural Sciences: In confidence and on recommendation from the Academic Council and Liaison Committee, the faculty management selected this year's award recipients for the innovation award, the research communication award and the TAP award in Natural Sciences.

In the minutes from the extraordinary meeting of the Liaison Committee on 24 April 2023 (Danish only, you can read that Marianne Holmer informed about the status of the controlled slowdown in 2023 after the mitigation phase, and that she invited the Liaison Committee to provide input for the further process and communication.

She encouraged the Academic Council to provide feedback on the upcoming communication on April 25 to all employees. The Academic Council then provided various inputs for the presentation (form, sequence and content).

In the minutes from the meeting of the faculty management on 18 April 2023 (Danish only), you can read about the following:

  • Exam results: Head of studies Finn Kirpekar participated in the meeting to discuss the autumn exam results.
  • Internationalisation of educations: Internationalisation coordinator Joakim Larsen presented the status of internationalisation of the faculty's educations, and he engaged in a dialogue with the faculty management about the area.
  • Teaching award of the year: The faculty management decided, following a recommendation from the faculty's study boards, who should receive the teaching award of the year at NAT. See the surprise of this year's award recipient here.
  • SDU Climate Cluster: SCC participated in the management meeting, where they engaged in a dialogue with the faculty management on selected topics.

In the minutes from the Academic Council meeting on 17 April 2023 (Danish only), you can read about the following:

  • Announcements: The University Council, new strategy for SDU in consultation, survey of communication and involvement
  • Budget adjustments 2023: The Academic Council gave feedback on how they experienced the financial adjustment (process, communication, etc.) at departments and in the faculty administration
  • Honorary doctorate and the faculty's awards 2023: The Academic Council confidentially prioritised the candidates for honorary doctorate, innovation award and research dissemination award
  • New rules of procedure: The Academic Council approved their new rules of procedure drawn up by a working group under the Academic Council
  • Educational strategic opportunities for NAT: Vice-dean Poul Nielsen participated in the meeting with his thoughts on flexible education and smart teaching.

  • Marketing: Mikkel L. Johansson participated with a report on marketing for bachelor's programmes, Data Science and Climate Adaptation as well as international master's programmes.
