Teacher of the Year Announced

Congratulations to Lindsey Nadine Van Yper, who was awarded Teacher of the Year 2024 at the Faculty of Health Sciences last Tuesday.

Dean Ole Skøtt delivered the news to Lindsey Nadine Van Yper, along with words of praise from the Audiology Study Board, who had nominated her for the award:

- Lindsey has an impressive ability to convey even the most difficult topics in an inspiring and comprehensible manner. She uses various pedagogical methods to make the complex material more accessible and interesting for us students.

- Moreover, Lindsey, you not only provide feedback on performances in assignments and exams but also throughout the teaching process. This creates a continuous learning process where students have the opportunity to improve continuously.

- Lindsey is an educator who constantly strives to innovate and develop her teaching for the benefit of the students in the audiology programme. Your approach includes the introduction of new teaching methods, the integration of new technology, and the incorporation of the latest research-based knowledge.

Congratulations to Lindsey, who is now also the Faculty of Health Sciences' candidate for SDU's Teaching Award 2024.

The five study boards at the Faculty of Health Sciences have each selected the best teacher in their programme as a candidate for the Teacher of the Year 2024 award:

  • Lindsey Nadine Van Yper - nominated by the Audiology Study Board
  • Jens Bojsen-Møller - nominated by the Sport and Health Study Board
  • Annette Møller Dall - nominated by the Medicine Study Board
  • Søren Krogh Andersen - nominated by the Psychology Study Board
  • Katja Schrøder - nominated by the Study Board for the Master's programmes in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Midwifery Science, Clinical Nursing, and Health Science
The Teacher of the Year award is given to the teacher who has excelled in delivering high-quality teaching, innovating teaching methods, and creating an inspiring learning environment for students.
