Central Administration

Reduced December staffing in the Central Administration

Several departments in the Central Administration will either be closed or have reduced staffing between Christmas and New Year. Extended response times should therefore be expected when contacting the individual departments.

SDU Communications

The Language Services Unit

SDU’s Language Services Unit will be closed for the Christmas holiday between 27 and 30 December (both days inclusive).

Please take this into account regarding your translation/proofreading needs.

Graphic Center

The Graphic Center will be closed for the holidays in week 52 (week beginning 26 December).

If you need printed materials during this period, please contact our external supplier, Stibo Complete

If you need help with graphic design, please contact one of our external suppliers.

 

Financial Service

All departments of Financial Service (i.e. Budget, Controller, Research Service Economy, Procurement and Tendering and Accounting) will be closed 23 December 2022–1 January 2023, both days inclusive.

 

SDU’s staff psychologist

SDU’s staff psychologist will be closed from 23 December 2022 until 2 January 2023. If you need psychological assistance in this period, please contact your own doctor.

In general, expect a little longer response times in the period from 23 December 2022 to 2 January 2023.

 

Technical Services

The Christmas holidays will affect the practical operations of Technical Services in several areas:

Door opening hours:

During the period from 27 December 2022 to 1 January 2023, all exterior doors will be locked at 4 p.m. Department doors on Campusvej, Odense will be locked at all times. Outside opening hours, please use your ID card and PIN to gain access. During public holidays, the building will be locked at all times.

If you need to enter SDU outside opening hours, please do not let anyone without a valid ID card into the building.

Cleaning:

Cleaning will be reduced in the period 27 December until 30 December 2022 (both days included).

During this period, light cleaning will still be carried out in laboratories in use.

Kitchens in the office areas that are in use will receive light cleaning (approximately once a week).

Toilets and offices will cleaned.

Postal service:

Logistics will serve SDU Campusvej, Winsløwparken and associated departments in the period from 23 December 2022 until 30 December 2022 as follows:

On Campusvej, letter post will be handled once a day between 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. Parcels will be delivered on an ongoing basis.

On Campusvej, post/parcels for dispatch must be handed in to the postal department no later than 2.00 p.m.

We will handle post to and from Ny TEK, J.B. Winsløwvej and OUH from 10.00 a.m. onwards.

Administration runs will be done as needed.

Transportation and courier shipments will run as usual; however, all transportation must be ordered before 2 p.m.

Opening hours for Transport & Logistics are 8.00 a.m. – 2.45 p.m.

The central warehouse is open between 8.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m.
