Holiday closings

Summer holiday closings in the Central Administration

Several departments in the Central Administration are either closed or have reduced staffing during the summer holidays. Extended response times should therefore be expected when contacting the individual units. For Technical Services, there are a number of practical changes regarding operations.

SDU Communications

Graphic Center will be closed due to remodeling from 1 July to 22 July.
• In addition, book production (Ph.D.s and books with 4 square spines) is closed from 25 June to 22 July inclusive. If you need printed materials during this period, you can order from SDU's external partner Stibo cnje@stibo.com. Tasks ordered from Stibo must be paid for by your own department, which is why you must provide your EAN number to Stibo. Read more

• SDU’s Language Services Unit is closed for the summer holidays from 15 July to 29 July, while longer response times will be expected for the rest of the summer.
• Web is available over the summer, but longer response times must be expected. It is therefore recommended that all inquiries be sent to web@sdu.dk
• The rest of SDU Communications will be understaffed, and longer response times must be expected.

SDU Analytics

SDU Analytics has reduced staffing from 1 July 2024 to 5 August (inclusive), and there will be extended response times to inquiries to sduanalytics@sdu.dk
If something is urgent, director Jacob Jensen can be contacted by text on (+ 45) 93 50 70 69.

SDU Digital

The ESDH team has reduced staffing from 22 July 2024 to 12 august 2024. During these weeks, a slightly longer response time to inquiries must be expected.

Financial Service

Financial accounting: Debtor and creditor accounting offices closed between 15-29 July; travel office closed between 22 July and 5 August.
Controller: Reduced staffing between 15-29 July.
Budget: Reduced staffing between 8-29 July.
Procurement and Tenders: Reduced staffing between 8-29 July.
FSØ: Reduced staffing between 15 July and 5 August.
FAST: Reduced staffing between 15 July-29 July.

Payments to SDU's suppliers
Financial Service does not make payments to suppliers in weeks 29 and 30. We make payments to SDU's suppliers on Thursday 11 July and Monday 29 July 2024.

Technical Services

Technical Services would like to flag possible operational changes over the summer:


Door opening hours

From 1–28 July 2024 (inclusive), external doors will be open from 08:00 to 16:00 on weekdays. Department doors on Campusvej, Odense will be locked round the clock. Access is possible with a valid ID card and PIN outside of opening hours.

For other requests or special events, please email Technical Services at 8888@sdu.dk.

When accessing the building with an employee/student card, do NOT admit others who do not have a valid ID card.


Postal service

From 1 July 2024 to 2 August 2024 (inclusive), Logistics will
operate as follows at SDU Campusvej, Winsløwparken and affiliated departments:

• On Campusvej, letter mail must be collected at the post office.
• Parcel shipments will be delivered on an ongoing basis.
• On Campusvej, post/parcels for dispatch must be handed in at the post office no later than 13:00.
• Winsløwvej and OUH will receive and have mail collected from 10:00 onwards.
• Transport and courier shipments will operate as usual.
• Opening hours in Transport & Logistics are 08:00–14:45 from 1 July to 2 July.

Room booking

From 15–26 July 2024 (inclusive), rooms can only be booked via https://cloud.timeedit.net/sdu/web.

Cleaning

As in previous years, the level of cleaning will be reduced in the period from 8 July up to and including 26 August 2024. Applies to Campus Odense only. Therefore, please expect longer response times for the extra tasks. This applies to both cleaning and waste management.

Toilets in the basement and a few toilet groups on campus will be locked.

During this period, a daily light cleaning will be carried out in laboratories that are in use, as well as in toilets and kitchens.
Light cleaning will be carried out in the office areas that are in use (approximately once a week).

Regarding cleaning in Kolding, Esbjerg, Slagelse and Copenhagen, please contact the Technical Services employee on site.
