The University Library of Southern Denmark pays for a membership with the publisher BioMed Central, which also includes SpringerOpen.
The membership gives a 15 per cent discount on open access costs in journals published by BioMed Central and SpringerOpen. These are Open Access journals, which means that they can be read and downloaded freely by anyone.
The discount can be obtained by authors from The University of Southern Denmark and from the hospitals in the Southern region of Denmark.
