Associate Professor Dorte Glintborg from the Research Unit for Endocrinology and the Center for Gender Identity leads a project investigating the short- and long-term effects of hormone therapy in transgender individuals. SDU researchers contribute to detecting domestic violence
Health professionals play a crucial role in prevention of violence, and this year, national guidelines are being developed for detection and early interventions against domestic violence. Researchers from the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) have reviewed the international scientific literature within this field and are now releasing two major reports that summarise the most effective methods for detection of and interventions against domestic violence.

Nurse, cand.cur. and Ph.D. As of 1 April, Lene Lauge Berring has been appointed professor of clinical nursing at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), associate professor at University College Absalon and chief nurse and head of the research unit in Psychiatry in Region Zealand.

Helle Hvilsted Nielsen appointed new professor of neurology with a focus on sclerosis
In the newly established clinical professorship at the Department of Clinical Research, SDU, Helle Hvilsted Nielsen will strengthen research into neuroinflammatory diseases, in which the immune system is involved in the development of disease in the brain, with a particular focus on multiple sclerosis.
