How does artificial intelligence fit in with our learning methods?

At SDU, we will re-examine the regulations for our students

It can hardly have escaped anyone’s attention that artificial intelligence, or AI, has found many new uses since the launch of the ChatGPT service.

The use of this service, and similar forms of AI, raises new, important and relevant questions about the University’s learning methods and the ways we design tests and exams.

Much is suddenly possible, and in many cases our wordings on the use of digital aids are no longer up-to-date or precise enough.

At SDU, we intend to embrace these new opportunities. We will do this in ways that can verify that each student still meets our learning objectives – including meeting the requirements for individuality in their products.

What does it mean?

We are now entering a period in which we will re-examine the regulations aimed at our students and ensure that they accommodate a reality in which AI is here to stay. This work will take place at both subject level and at SDU level. The Council for Education will begin by establishing a framework for the work to be done at one of its upcoming meetings.
