Study start at SDU

Who

We will soon be welcoming around 7,000 new students to our bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes.

What

These days, the introduction days of many programmes are starting. Behind the organisation of the study start lies important knowledge about how to create a good sense of belonging both academically and socially for the new students. The new students’ study start and introduction days for master’s programmes are planned on the basis that there is room for everyone and that everyone should have a good and safe start to their education. This is ensured by following the framework of the Quality Policy, the Code for the Consumption of Alcohol and Intoxicants during the Study Start and SDU’s Common Code of Conduct.

SDU’s Common Code of Conduct is still relatively new and has been implemented, among other things, in the training of the study start tutors as a basis for the planned activities, so that it propagates in practice.

Where

Right now, most questions from new students concern where and when they should show up for introduction activities for their education programme. The answer can be found on the study start page on MitSDU, where the introduction programme and other useful information is located. Just type mitsdu.dk/studiestart in your browser.

Other frequent questions concern student’s timetables or which class they are in, for example. This will always depend on the programme you are studying, and new students will be informed of this by their programme in the near future. However, most already have access to itslearning (link to the system, link to guides for staff) and can find their timetable there.

Would you like to know more?

Study start is coordinated at the faculties, and with continuous gathering of knowledge and experience across SDU through the Group for Study Start and Introduction for Master’s Programmes.
