The Working Environment Authority is the Danish authority on the working environment, which supervises workplaces, draws up rules, and provides guidance on the working environment.

When the Working Environment Authority visits, it is unannounced. The Working Environment Authority always has the right to access the entire workplace and to talk to all employees.

SDU HR recommends that the local health and safety committee/health and safety group ensures that the documents that the Working Environment Authority will typically ask about are available and up to date.
