Education strategy

New education efforts for retention and the first job

In the spring of 2022, a working group will start developing a competency portfolio, "My reflection bank", for the faculty's students. A work that directly stems from the education strategy's focus on competence awareness.

The purpose of the reflection bank is especially to give the students a tool that makes them better able to put into words the competencies they develop through the study. That way, students can find more meaning and relevance in their studies and as graduates become faster to find their first job.

The reflection bank will be a permanent and consistent educational element and start up in September 2022. It will be set up in itslearning, which the students already know.

Students will have access to an online universe where they will be helped to reflect on their own learning and the learning application in practice, including the transfer of competences.

In parallel with the working group's work in the spring of 2022, Vice Dean Poul Nielsen and the Education Committee will ensure that the teaching committees are involved in how the reflection bank is best implemented at their respective departments and what content it should have in the individual degree programmes.

The working group consists of Michael Petersen from FKF, Lise Junker Nielsen from BMB, Linette Sønderby  from SDU RIO, Tanja Krog Hedegaard and Suba S. Lindholm from the Faculty Administration.

The reflection bank was approved by the faculty management on 11 January 2022 – read more about it in the minutes from the meeting (in Danish only).
