The faculty welcomes experts, students, and other key stakeholders to a day centred on the future of health education.

The goal is to identify the skills and knowledge that future health professionals need to meet external expectations, and to discover key areas for enhancing the relevance and quality of the programmes.

- The primary aim for the day is to initiate the formulation of an education strategy. This strategy not only unfolds SDU's approach towards research-based programmes of the highest standard but also caters to the specific needs and expectations of the broader society that employs our graduates, states Merete Munk, Education Manager at The Faculty of Health Sciences.

-The strategy aims to ensure that our programmes continue to lead in addressing the complex challenges of the future, for instance, within the healthcare system. This encompasses both our full-time degrees and our attractive continuing education options for employed individuals.

Influence the Future of Health Education

The agenda for the day spans a wide array of topics, including policy development in the healthcare system, digitalization and health technology, and students' perspectives.

A notable segment of the day is reserved for an interactive break, during which participants' suggestions and ideas will be gathered. These inputs will serve as the foundation for a panel discussion later in the day, aiming to deliberate on the day's gathered insights.

- Based on the day's many presentations and interactive sessions, we expect the event to create a solid foundation for the further work with the education strategy, says Office Manager and Leader of SUND Research Support Anne Kathrine Overgaard, who oversees the strategy process.

- Moreover, this event presents a rare chance to influence the trajectory of future health education at SDU and to contribute to the crafting of a forward-thinking education strategy, adds Anne Kathrine Overgaard.

She, therefore, encourages everyone interested to participate in the kickoff event on April 18th.
