Kitchens in the new HEALTH building: Coffee is just around the corner
There won't be far to go for coffee in the new HEALTH building. While existing coffee machines will be relocated, new ones can be added as needed, so you'll have the opportunity to get coffee in one of the building's 29 kitchenettes.
In the new faculty building, there is access to kitchenettes for staff on the ground floor as well as on the first and second floors.
On the three floors, you will find the kitchenettes in connection with office and laboratory areas throughout the building.
For example, there will be a kitchenette attached to each office corridor and the residents of that corridor.
Try coffee with your neighbor
That a kitchenette is attached to a specific office corridor does not mean that it is reserved for the residents of that corridor.
Like many other facilities in the new faculty building, kitchenettes are also for shared use. This means that you are more than welcome to visit your neighbor's kitchenette and use the coffee machine there.
In the new HEALTH building, there will therefore be ample opportunity to quench your coffee thirst and at the same time greet colleagues from other units.
Coffee machines in the new HEALTH building
As a starting point, the coffee you can pour in the new faculty building will come from the coffee machines that are currently located in Winsløwparken.
They will be moved to the new building and distributed among its 29 kitchenettes.
If it turns out to be insufficient, coffee machines for more of the kitchenettes will be ordered.
Equipment in kitchenettes
While selected kitchenettes will be equipped with existing coffee machines as a starting point, they will all be equipped with:
- Refrigerator
- Microwave
- Dishwasher
- Electric kettle
Technical Service is responsible for purchasing and paying for appliances.

CANTEEN AND KITCHENS:
In the new HEALTH building, there is access to kitchenettes for staff on the ground floor as well as on the first and second floors.
On the three floors you will find the kitchenettes in connection with office and laboratory areas down through the entire building.
- The ground floor contains 3 kitchenettes
- The first floor contains 10 kitchenettes
- The 2nd floor contains 16 kitchenettes
As a rule, there will not be local lunchrooms reserved for a special staff group.
Lunch, on the other hand, can be taken in the large dining area in the building's western walkway over Killerup Rende or in the existing canteens at SDU.

In addition to the kitchen elements themselves, all 29 kitchenettes in the new HEALTH building are equipped with:
- New fridge (Gorenje)
- New microwave (Samsung 28 liters)
- New dishwasher (Grundig)
- New electric kettle (Point)
In addition, it will also be possible to install a coffee machine in all kitchenettes.
The coffee machines are moved from WP and placed strategically. If it turns out that there are not enough machines, the faculty will order more.
It is initially Technical Service that pays for appliances.

In the new HEALTH building's western walkway over Killerup Rende, there will be a large dining area with a view of nature on the first floor.
Here you can also buy a sandwich and a cup of coffee in a canteen sale. However, there will not be a dedicated canteen in the HEALTH building. Here you must use the existing canteens at SDU.
As a rule, there will also be no local lunchrooms reserved for a special staff group.
