The Teaching Committee at the Department of Biology pre-processes cases for the Study Board for Science and continuously evaluates the study programs and courses offered by the department.

The committee is composed of faculty and students, ensuring coverage of the department's academic breadth. Individual cases of no significant principle may be delegated to the chair or a smaller subcommittee. However, the results of evaluations and action plans should always be presented to the full committee. When processing course descriptions and exam syllabi, a relevant student representative must be involved.

The student members of the committee participate in personal matters only if they are also members of the Study Board for Science.
