The Marine Biological Research Centre is located at the inlet to Kerteminde Fjord, directly across from the town’s fishing port and just 100 metres from the bus station. As part of the Department of Biology, the centre provides an ideal setting for research, teaching, field projects, and summer courses.

The facilities include modern laboratories, teaching rooms, and aquarium halls with running seawater, as well as small boats for fieldwork.
