Mathematical library

The Mathematical library is closed due to the construction of Forskertorvet.

The main part (groups 2 – 10 + 13) are now located in the University Library of Southern Denmark in room Ø4-512-2 at the south entrance of the library and thus close to the department. The remaining books have been placed in storage, and can be requested from the library.

Please direct all your general questions, requests for loans, applications for library cards, etc. to the technical helpdesk at the south end of the SDU Library. The phone number is +45 6550 7331. You can also call the main helpdesk at +45 6550 2611 or write to udlaan@bib.sdu.dk

You can lend and return books at the Lendomat in OMB.

You can request articles, books for lending, etc., via the library catalogue or the request form.

Books that you have requested from the catalogue or books that have been borrowed from other libraries will be delivered directly to IMADA employees via mail service. Students must use the self-service shelves at the SDU Library and the material can be lended via the Lendomat.

New books will be on display at OMB for a month and then placed on the shelves. New print journals can be found in the ’kaffestue , and are shelved when necessary.

Book suggestions will be handled by research librarian Lasse Kragh Sørensen at laks@bib.sdu.dk or on 6550 3127. Please also contact Lasse if you require academic guidance.

Semester loans: Please contact the helpdesk at the south end of the Library with a list of the books you want on your semester loan shelf. You can also write to librarian Else Marie Hansen: emh@bib.sdu.dk

The Library will place your semester loan books on a separate shelf at OMB, marked with the names of teacher and course.

Masters’ Theses from IMADA are kept at the Library. You can request them via the catalogue. When they are ready for you, you can pick them up at the helpdesk and use them in the Library. They cannot be taken home.

The Library takes care of getting, bringing and placing books on shelves at OMB.
