Public national funds

The largest source at SDU is still the national public funds.

This includes the Innovation Fund, the Danish National Research Foundation, and the Independent Research Fund Denmark.

International funding

One of the smaller but important funding opportunities for SDU are the American foundations.

The National Institute of Health (NIH) is the US federal fund from which SDU receives most funding.

NIH is part of the US Department of Health and Human Services, and it is the primary federal grant provider for health science research in the USA.
