SDU restructures its programme pages on sdu.dk: How the work will be carried out at the Faculty of Humanities

SDU’s range of degree programmes has become increasingly complex, with programmes offered in more cities, a growing number of specialisations and different programme types. This development will be further reinforced by the master’s degree reform. SDU is therefore restructuring the programme pages on sdu.dk to give prospective students a clearer overview of their options.

In future, related programmes will be brought together on shared pages. This applies, for example, to programmes with several specialisations or programmes offered both as full-time master’s programmes and as part-time master’s programmes for working professionals. The aim is to make it easier for prospective students to compare their options and find the programme that best suits them.

During autumn 2026, the programme pages will therefore be given a new visual design and structure.

The project is being managed centrally by SDU Communications and covers all the university’s bachelor’s, master’s and part-time master’s programmes for working professionals.

How the project will be carried out at the Faculty of Humanities
At the Faculty of Humanities, the restructuring will be implemented in several stages. The faculty’s communication unit is responsible for the local implementation. This includes the technical restructuring of all the faculty’s programme pages to ensure that they support the new structure and remain visible in SDU’s programme selector.

At the same time, the faculty is working on content development and search engine optimisation (SEO) for the pages covering master’s programmes and part-time master’s programmes for working professionals. The aim is to strengthen their online visibility and support the recruitment of prospective students.

The technical restructuring will take place in autumn 2026, while the content development and SEO work will continue into spring 2027. Similar work was carried out for the bachelor’s programmes in autumn 2025.

What can heads of studies and academic environments expect?
Content development will initially be prioritised for programmes that primarily recruit external applicants. At the same time, programme pages will be created for new master’s programmes and part-time master’s programmes for working professionals as the programmes are submitted for approval. This will make it possible to build awareness of the programmes and support recruitment well in advance of the application deadline.

​​​​​​​Heads of studies for programmes undergoing content development in addition to the technical restructuring will be involved and kept informed as the work progresses and the pages go live.
