A word from the Dean

Happy New Year  everybody

I must admit that it is a tough start to the year, where we are now again highly challenged by the pandemic. Fortunately, we have planned the spring with the expectation of restrictions, and we have both a Plan A and B - in some cases even a Plan C, if there are further requirements for closure.

We are far better prepared and have become accustomed to working online. I therefore hope that the coming time will be less stressful than in the spring, and that there will be motivating work tasks that can help everyone to keep their spirits up.

I am very much looking forward to working further with the faculty's strategy. In the near future, the just received feedback will be incorporated into the strategy for approval at the end of January. After this, proposals must be prepared for actions that must be prioritized, and a timetable for implementation must be drawn up. The goal is an engaging process. Therefore, you can expect to have to work with the implementation at the departments and in the various committees at the faculty.

Right now, it is important that we focus on well-being. I would like to encourage everyone to think of colleagues and students, especially those who sit alone and perhaps far from home.

We lack the informal conversation in everyday life, so feel free to pick up the phone or book an online meeting without an agenda and talk to your colleagues and students and ask about well-being what works well and less well in everyday life and in relation to work tasks.

I'm sure it will be appreciated everywhere.
