SUND Research Support
More time for research – SUND Research Support now helps researchers after funding is awarded.
Once the funding is secured, the work begins to get the project off to a good start and bring it to a successful conclusion. Researchers at the Faculty of Health Sciences can now get more help with this from SUND Research Support.
Project management, coordination and administration are a significant part of most major research projects. They are necessary, but they also take time away from research. That is why SUND Research Support is now expanding the support it offers to researchers at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Going forward, researchers who have secured major grants that include a budget for project management can receive support to get their projects off to a good start, maintain an overview throughout and bring them to a successful conclusion.
The new service is part of the Faculty of Health Sciences’ research strategy towards 2030, in which strengthening research support is a key priority – including after funding has been awarded.
As part of this initiative, SUND Research Support has appointed two new research advisers, Nicklas Abild and Astrid Jarre. Their role is to make it easier for researchers at the Faculty of Health Sciences to manage and administer grants, freeing up more time for research.
Meet the new research advisors
Nicklas Abild has experience in project management from the Danish Authority of Social Services and Housing, where he has managed projects in the social services sector, among other areas.
Astrid Jarre has many years of experience managing large and complex research projects. She has a background in science and extensive experience in interdisciplinary research, with a particular interest in supporting projects that bring together different disciplines. Astrid works part-time.
Together, Nicklas and Astrid bring different experience and expertise to the team, with the shared aim of helping researchers at the Faculty of Health Sciences manage strong and successful research projects.
How can we help?
SUND Research Support can help you maintain an overview, support coordination and keep your project on track through its various stages, from start-up to completion.
For example, you can get help to:
- get an overview of the grant and the requirements that come with it
- clarify legal, financial and administrative issues at an early stage
- hold regular status meetings to keep the project on track
- maintain good communication with the grant provider
- engage stakeholders
- ensure and demonstrate the value the project creates for society.
SUND Research Support provides a single point of contact for relevant support across the Faculty of Health Sciences and SDU and helps coordinate the right support when needs arise during the project.
