Team Structure and Governance for Education and Ph.D. is primarily responsible for accurate case processing, legality, and the structural frameworks across all the faculty's programmes. The team supports the management, Ph.D. committees, study boards, and departments in all significant administrative and legal matters concerning the programmes. Additionally, the team contributes to both daily operations and strategic development.
The tasks include, among other things, secretarial services for the study boards, handling student cases, advising on regulations and executive orders, as well as supporting decision-making processes and new initiatives within the programs. The team ensures that educational courses at the faculty's programmes are managed in accordance with applicable legislation, SDU's internal rules, and the faculty's overarching frameworks.
What can the team support with?
Regular Programmes
- Provide secretarial services and case processing for the faculty's study boards
- Handle student cases, including exemptions and credit transfers, as well as assess admission cases
- Work on curricula and course descriptions, including creation, revision, and interpretation
- Develop and adjust programme structures, including implementing new and revising existing programmes, e.g., title, admission requirements, and competence profile
- Admissions, including offerings and capacity numbers
- Administer the Bachelor of Engineering internships
Ph.D. Programmes
- Provide secretarial services and administrative support for the Ph.D. school and Ph.D. committee
- Process Ph.D. courses, including admissions, Ph.D. plans, evaluations, extensions, leaves of absence, as well as other Ph.D. student cases, Ph.D. awards and diplomas
- Support Ph.D. admissions, including processes, frameworks, and interpretation of rules, and guide students, supervisors, and section leaders
- Provide legal advice on executive orders and overarching frameworks for the Ph.D. programmes
- Support the management and contribute to strategic initiatives in the Ph.D. area
Across Educational Areas
- Provide legal and administrative advice on executive orders and other overarching frameworks, as well as prepare consultation responses at SDU and faculty levels
- Coordinate between the faculty, departments, and central SDU units in cases relevant to governance and rule application
