Projects with project supplements

Private foundations (e.g. the Novo Nordisk Foundation, Villum Foundation, the Carlsberg Foundation, VELUX FOUNDATION, the Lundbeck Foundation, the LEO Foundation) allow you to apply for project supplements as part of the grant.

Project supplements contribute to covering the derived project costs for the University and replace overheads, administration fees and bench fees. If a project supplement is to be utilised in connection with the research grant, the foundation will indicate this in the call.

In the call, the foundation will state the maximum total application amount per project, including direct costs and project supplements. This means that applicants should be aware that the size of the total project supplement affects the amount that can be included in the budget as direct costs. It is always recommended that the maximum project supplement is applied for.
