Your email account will be migrated
All email accounts are being migrated to a cloud solution.
SDU IT continues to work on the University's digitalisation strategy and the future-proofing of our infrastructure. Therefore, all student and staff email accounts will be migrated from physical servers located in the basement below SDU to a cloud solution. The migration to the cloud provides a host of new options in the Office 365 environment. The migration of the almost 65,000 accounts will commence at the end of November, and we expect the work to be completed no later than January 2021.
How does this affect students and staff? That's an easy question to answer: On your computer, simply restart Outlook after the migration. If you're using webmail, you can access it through https://office.com. On mobile devices with Outlook configured, you will need to set up Outlook again.
Each SDU department and the students will receive an email notification about when their mailboxes will be migrated. The migration will take place during the night to minimise any disruption.
