New Head of Technical Services
Henrik Mørkenborg Ravn is the new Head of Division for Technical Services at SDU. He replaces Leif Jensen, who is retiring.
From a strong field of applicants, a unanimous recruitment committee in September decided that Henrik Mørkenborg Ravn is the right person to take over the role of Head of Division for Technical Services.
Henrik Mørkenborg Ravn will take over on 1 November 2021 and replaces the current Head of Division for Technical Services, Leif Jensen, who will be retiring at the end of October.
University Director Thomas Buchvald Vind looks forward to the collaboration with Henrik Mørkenborg Ravn, who will be stepping into a job held by an outstanding SDU personality for many years.
- Leif has been an incredible capacity for the University for a lifetime, and he has been a large part of the development that SDU and the entire sector have undergone over the last many years. However, I am completely confident and enthusiastic about the appointment of Henrik, who has both managerial experience, technical insight and not least knowledge of the university sector with 16 years of employment at SDU under his belt, Thomas Buchvald Vind says.
Will continue the exciting development at SDU
Through his employment at SDU, Henrik has built up a solid knowledge of SDU’s values and tasks, as well as the many users who depend on Technical Services contributing to a well-functioning university across all of SDU’s locations.
- Technical Services is constantly focused on agile operations that can be adjusted to fit shifting demands. I am aware of the importance of SDU being attractive to both students, staff and external parties. This is done especially through responsible operations, where consideration for the environment, sustainability and financial responsibility are basic premises for our day-to-day work, says Henrik Mørkenborg Ravn and adds:
- Technical Services is currently working on a number of great initiatives to ensure and develop the above. I am already involved in these initiatives as part of the current management team. It is an exciting development, which I, because of my insight into the operations, look forward to being able to consolidate and implement together with the large portfolio of skilled employees and managers at Technical Services.
Henrik currently lives in Ringe with his wife and 4-year-old son. He devotes his spare time to his great interest in food, wine and gardening.
