New theme page gathers SDU’s climate efforts
SDU has launched Climate at SDU – a new shared platform for research, education and climate operations.
SDU’s work with climate and climate transition now has its own website. With Climate at SDU, the University has gathered its climate knowledge, research and actions in one place for the first time. This makes it easier to follow SDU’s work with climate neutrality in practice.
The new theme page presents the University’s climate efforts in context – from research and teaching to the many operational initiatives that reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.
– We wanted a place where you can learn more about SDU’s climate research and also see how we as an organisation are working to reduce our climate footprint, says University Director Thomas Buchvald Vind.
– Climate at SDU presents a shared narrative about climate action, which reflects the fact that climate is not a separate project, but integral to SDU’s way of thinking and acting.
Research, education and operations in the same narrative
The theme page brings the University’s climate activities together under three main tracks:
- Research and knowledge – SDU’s climate research, research centres and collaborations on solutions to climate challenges.
- Education and student life – how to integrate climate into teaching and student engagement.
- Operations and action – the University’s tangible efforts in energy consumption, buildings, procurement and mobility.
In addition, the page presents news, cases and results from across the organisation and provides links to Climate Plan 2.0, climate accounts and relevant projects.
– We have many good examples of how faculties and departments are already contributing to the green transition – and we want them to stand out, says Thomas Buchvald Vind.
– At the same time, the page will serve as a common entry point for everyone working with climate at SDU, which will make it easy to find knowledge, news and contacts.
A showcase for SDU’s climate efforts
The page has been launched on both sdu.dk and SDUnet, which allows employees, students and external partners alike to follow SDU’s climate efforts.
The ambition is for Climate at SDU to become a dynamic hub for stories, initiatives and results – and a clear signal that SDU takes climate responsibility seriously.
– We want climate action to be visible, tangible and inspiring. Climate at SDU displays our work to translate our ambitions into action – and invites everyone to contribute, says Thomas Buchvald Vind.
