Support for events and research stays at the Nordic Centre
The Nordic Centre at Fudan University has opened its spring 2026 call for proposals. Researchers and lecturers at SDU can apply for funding for activities that strengthen collaboration between Nordic and Chinese universities.
Funding opportunities
Academic events
Funding is available for seminars, workshops, courses and conferences. The grant is between €2,000 and €6,000. Application deadline 20 March 2026.
Research stays
Applications can be submitted for stays of up to four weeks. The grant is €400-600 per week plus a travel allowance of €500. The recommended application deadline is 31 March 2026 and applications are accepted throughout the year, subject to availability of funds.
What is prioritised?
For academic events, priority is given to:
- participation from at least two Nordic Centre member universities
- Collaboration with Chinese partners, especially Fudan University or Chinese affiliated member institutions
- that the activities relate to the Centre's priority thematic areas such as sustainability, digitalisation, health, welfare and culture.
Activities that strengthen networks for younger researchers, create new connections between Nordic and Chinese environments and can lead to major joint applications are particularly encouraged.
Research stays are open to researchers at all career stages, both from Nordic member universities and from Fudan University or Chinese affiliated member institutions.
