About the agreeement

Researchers from SDU and the University hospitals in the Region of Southern Denmark publish open acccess free of charge in a number of Wiley journals. Instead, open access costs are covered by an agreement between Danish research institutions and Wiley. The agreement is in effect from January 1st 2022 up to and including 2025.

A national upper limit exists on how many articles can be published under the agreement each year. This limit it set above the current yearly number of publications with Wiley.

Pure open access journals are excluded from the agreement.

Conditions

To have open access covered by the agreement the following conditions must be met: 

  • The article must be accepted by the journal between January 1st 2022 and December 31st 2025. 
  • The article must be of an eligible type i.e. research article, review article, method/protocol, case study, commentary, data article, protocol,  perspective, short communication
    • The following types are examples of article types excluded from the agreemenet: editorial, profile, correspondence, opinion, introduction or abstract
  • Corresponding Author* must be affiliated to SDU or a University Hospital in the Region of Southern Denmark.
  • Corresponding author must choose to publish open access when the article is accepted in one of the journals included in the agreement.

Corresponding Author  is in this agreement defined as the single author with the role Responsible corresponding auhtor in Wiley's submission system. This is not necessarily  first or last author on the publication.
