Master's reform at SDU

Process for the work on master's degrees reform at SDU

Before the end of January 2025, a final decision must be made on how the master's education landscape at SDU and the other universities will look in 2028.

This is done so that applicants for bachelor's programs in 2025 know their options for master's programs.

The internal work at SDU follows this process.

The process plan has been updated since it was presented at the internal general meeting on June 20, 2024. In the process plan, which was shown at the general meeting, it was stated that a decision will be made by October 1, 2024 at the latest on which programs are still 120 ECTS . It has since become apparent that there is a need for further involvement of actors at SDU, before the executive board could make a decision on how many master's education places of 120 ECTS the faculties must offer. It has pushed the overall process by a month.

At the same time, reservations are made that the further process may be changed as a consequence of the national work in the Candidate Committee.
