The Library Guides on AI
AI is everywhere – and of course, also at the library. Check out our brand-new AI guide tailored for students.
A new online guide from the library introduces various AI tools. While it is primarily aimed at students, SDU staff are of course welcome to explore it as well.
What access do SDU and the library provide? When is it a good idea to use AI - and when is it not? When should you declare AI use instead of citing it? How do you declare it? And what about copyright law and GDPR? Students frequently ask the library many questions about AI. At the same time, AI features are increasingly being integrated into the library’s resources. That’s why the library has published an AI guide for students, which will be continuously updated. The guide is currently being translated and will soon be available in both Danish and English.
“We receive many questions about AI, and we find that our students often struggle to navigate SDU’s rules and guidelines. We want to highlight the opportunities available to our users, and we see it as part of our mission to support and inform students so they can confidently use AI in their studies. That’s why we’ve gathered everything in the AI Guide, which will also serve as the foundation for the library’s AI courses,” says Kirstin Remvig, Special Consultant in the Library’s Department for Teaching and Communication.

- The guide concludes with an online AI course tailored to students. The course is part of the TeachGenAI project (SDU, AAU, AU) and is supported by IT-Vest.
