Sponsorships and stand hire

Conference Manager may be used to book and pay for stand hire and sponsorships in connection with events organised by SDU.

However, please note that SDU pays a significant amount in fees and charges to the company behind the Conference Manager system for the management of activities within Conference Manager. The fee is a percentage of the total price, so the higher the stand hire fee or sponsorship amount, the higher the payment to the supplier.

For the time being, fees and charges payable to the company behind Conference Manager are covered by the SDU community. However, Financial Services records this at faculty level and monitors which organisational units at SDU are responsible for the payment of the not insignificant amount to Conference Manager.

Financial Services encourages event organisers to consider whether stand hire and sponsorship fees could instead be collected by issuing a sales invoice through SDU’s ERP system.
