New name rules in HCM and ORC
From February 1, 2026, we remove middle names as a separate field in HCM and ORC and otherwise follow Danish naming rules.
The Danish naming rules are:
- First Names: A person may have one or more given names.
- Middle Names: Middle names are placed after the first name(s) in the field “First and Middle Name (s)”.
- Last Name: A person may have only one surname.
In HCM, this will appear as follows:
It will also be possible to enter a preferred name, which is entered as a single combined field.
The preferred name will only be visible in HCM.
