System change for SDU employees' flexitime registration

Flexitime registration for employees at the University of Southern Denmark will soon have to take place in a new system, as the current system will shut down in 2026.

SDU is facing a necessary system change for flexitime registration, as the current system Buanco / Flexikon will become technically obsolete and can no longer be used from October 2026.

To ensure stable and modern support for time registration, flexitime employees will therefore switch to mTIME, which is the system already widely used at SDU for project time and other time registration.

The setup of the flexitime solution in mTIME is currently being pilot tested by employees in Financial Service, SDU HR and TEK ØKO, and the flexitime solution in mTIME will be implemented in the period March - June 2026.

When it is time to switch to mTIME, both employees and managers will be introduced to the system and given a more in-depth introduction to how the transition will take place. Flexitime balances are automatically transferred from Buanco to mTIME.

New flexitime agreement for TAPs

In parallel with the preparation of a flexitime solution in mTIME, management and employees have been negotiating a new joint flexitime agreement for technical/administrative staff (TAP).  The negotiations have been based on the flexitime agreement that applies to the Central Administration and does not include managers and master's thesis and senior consultants.

The agreement is almost in place, and will be signed by all relevant union representatives and professional organisations. Union representatives will be invited to a meeting about the agreement in March, and the agreement will also be presented at meetings in Administration Liaison Committee/Faculty Liaison Committees.
