With a little forethought, you can avoid a lot of aggravation and wasted labour.

Emails can contain personal data. Therefore, take a position on your emails in Outlook. See how to get a clean desk.

If the images and videos show something about doing university business and have a factual purpose and are in no way offensive/exhibiting, you are welcome to take pictures without prior consent. However, you must always ensure that the duty of disclosure is fulfilled by either informing in advance or by signage at the conference/event itself. You can contact the GDPR coordinator , if you have specific questions about the duty of disclosure.

It is not a requirement, but it is always good practice to ask the speaker if you can take pictures of them, for example in connection with their presentation and publish them.
