VPN
Full tunnel VPN will be activated on Wednesday 29 April
From Wednesday 29 April, full tunnel Cisco VPN will be activated for all users.
This means that all network traffic while connected to VPN will be routed through SDU’s secure network.
The purpose of this change is to improve IT security and ensure consistent protection, regardless of where you work from.
What does this mean for you?
- Access to SDU systems will work as usual when VPN is connected.
- If you use a home printer connected via network (Wi Fi or network cable), you will not be able to print while VPN is connected.
- Printers connected directly via USB cable are not affected.
- Printing from a home printer
If you use a network-connected printer at home, you can:
- Disconnect VPN temporarily
- Print your document
- Reconnect VPN to regain access to SDU services
The change is implemented as a security measure.
