About the Construction

  • The project involves the construction of a new laboratory building with research facilities, offices, and associated support functions.

    The building will be located on the west side of SDU in Odense, north of the DIAS building. The total area is expected to be between 7,000 and 10,000 m².

    On June 10, 2024, the board approved the initiation of a preliminary study for the project. The Danish Building and Property Agency is the developer.

  • The construction is taking place at the campus in Odense.

  • The construction is underway.

  • The laboratory building is expected to be ready for occupancy by the end of 2030.

  • The primary users of the building will be the research units Nordcee from the Department of Biology and Functional Genomic Studies and Metabolism from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
