- Additional hours allocated to the institute pool. A total of 2,000 hours have been released by using hours saved following the discontinuation of councils, boards and committees, by introducing more accurate compensation for project-oriented modules, and by reallocating hours for chairs and members of boards of studies in connection with the closure of four boards of studies.
- Changes to teaching obligations and the calculation of working hours for full-time teaching staff. In future, full-time teaching staff will receive the same basic compensation as assistant professors, associate professors and professors. The fixed number of hours allocated to academic development is reduced, with the option to apply for additional hours from the head of department.
- Basic compensation is determined by the size of the teaching obligation associated with the position. This is most clearly reflected for PhD students, who have a smaller teaching obligation than, for example, associate professors, but it also applies to part-time staff. A reduction in basic compensation is accompanied by correspondingly limited expectations regarding participation in the tasks covered by the basic compensation.
- Research assistants and postdoctoral researchers with teaching duties do not receive basic compensation, as they are not expected to carry out the tasks covered by the basic compensation.
- Compensation for PhD students’ teaching is increased from 3.5 to 4 hours, in recognition of the fact that they are new teachers.
- Compensation for additional resits for master’s theses is differentiated.
- In addition, minor amendments and clarifications have been made to the wording of the agreement concerning buy-outs and time banks.
