Who we are
We work to attract, engage and support successful transitions into the Humanities
We take a strategic approach to the entire student recruitment journey: from prospective students' first awareness of the Faculty of Humanities and its degree programmes to their successful transition into university life. Our work is informed by insights into young people's needs, behaviours and decision-making processes, as well as research on the transition to higher education.
Guided by the Faculty of Humanities' recruitment model, we support, design and deliver initiatives that strengthen prospective students' awareness of our programmes, inspire them to choose a humanities degree, and support their transition into university. Our aim is to attract students who can see a meaningful future in the humanities and to ensure that everyone in our target audience has the opportunity to make an informed decision about their educational pathway.
We continuously develop our initiatives based on insights from our target audiences, evaluations and experiences gained across the recruitment journey. Our goal is to create a coherent experience from their first thoughts about studying the humanities to becoming an active member of the academic community.
We offer:
- Student recruitment activities that inspire and support prospective students in making informed decisions about higher education.
- Outreach activities and collaborations with upper secondary schools, folk high schools and other organisations involved in young people's educational choices.
- Targeted transition initiatives that support student engagement, belonging and retention, including How to Uni and MA Introduction Course.
- Evaluation, insight and development, helping to continuously strengthen the Faculty of Humanities' recruitment and transition initiatives.
We support digital visibility and a well-functioning digital infrastructure
We help ensure that information reaches the right digital channels – and that the faculty's web presence and digital solutions support both user needs and organisational goals.
We monitor, update and support the faculty's websites on SDU.dk, MitSDU and SDUnet, – and we lead targeted initiatives that promote digitalisation and streamline workflows and processes across the faculty. This includes implementation of new central IT systems at the faculty, development of existing solutions and other digitalisation efforts – including digital skills development which provides the faculty's employees with the necessary prerequisites to work effectively and safely with digital tools.
Among other things, we offer:
- Technical guidance and advice on web structure, components, templates and content development for sdu.dk, mitsdu.dk and SDUnet
- Web support and ongoing maintenance of the faculty's web content – including support for the faculty's content editors
- Support and counselling in the use of the faculty's digital solutions and SDU's IT systems and platforms – with a focus on how the systems are applied within the Faculty of Humanities
- Superuser development and facilitation for study administration systems and core M365 applications
- Digital skills development for employees
