Organisational changes at SIF, the merger of SDU IT departments, and the development of the norm catalogue for SUND-FREJA were among the topics discussed at the Liaison Committee meeting at SUND on December 16, 2024.
The Liaison Committee (SU) at the Faculty of Health Sciences (SUND) ensures that employees have influence over working conditions, collaboration, and strategic decisions. Below is an overview of the key points from the Liaison Committee meeting at SUND on December 16, 2024.
Discussions
- Restructuring at SIF: Head of Department Morten Hulvej Rod (MHR) provided an update on organisational changes at the National Institute of Public Health (SIF), where all research leaders will now report directly to the Head of Department.
- Merger of SDU IT: Christian Bilde Dannevang (CBD) informed the committee about the merger of SDU Digital and SDU IT, which will now operate under the name SDU IT. Bue Raun Andersen will be the new head of the merged unit.
- Norm Catalogue for SUND-FREJA: Anne Mølgaard Nielsen (AMN) presented the status of the SUND-FREJA project. Due to technical challenges at SDU Digital, the timeline has been adjusted, and the pilot phase will now begin in summer 2025. The need for administrative support and the establishment of norms for teaching activities were discussed. The norm catalogue will be sent for consultation in January 2025.
- Restructuring of Education Administration: Stinne Hørup Hansen (SHH) outlined the vision for restructuring SDU’s education administration. The goal is to ensure a more standardised organisation and free up resources for strategic work. Employee involvement was highlighted as a key element of the process.
- Working Hours Agreement for Teaching: The Liaison Committee discussed further work on a working hours agreement for teachers. The agreement will be addressed at a department heads’ meeting in January 2025, after which it will be sent for consultation.
Updates
- MUS Follow-up: The status of employee development reviews (MUS) was reviewed. All departments except IMM have submitted MUS plans. In the future, summary reports will include holding periods.
- Employee Communication: The Liaison Committee will now inform employees through a regular column in SUND’s newsletter, as well as by making minutes more visible on SDUnet.
Next Steps
- The norm catalogue for SUND-FREJA will be sent for consultation in January 2025, with a deadline of February 17.
- The working hours agreement will be discussed at the department heads’ meeting in January 2025.
- Employee involvement in the restructuring of the education administration will continue.

The goal is to create mutually accepted frameworks for the development and design of employees' own working conditions across the faculty.
