Horizon Europe application template: Excellence

When: May 18th at 13:30 -14:30

What: The webinar will focus on the full 45 page application for Research and Innovation projects (RIA) and Innovations projects (IA) in pillar II of Horizon Europe. In the Excellence section it is important that the ambitions and the motivation for the project shines through. In this section it is possible to really impress the evaluators with a strong, beyond-state-of-the-art project idea and a clear definition of what the project will accomplish.

In Horizon Europe, the Excellence section covers:
1.1 Objectives and ambition
1.2 Methodology

After attending the webinar, you will have a greater understanding of how to compose an Excellence section which conveys the project idea in the strongest way possible. Furthermore, you will be able to benefit from hearing how others approach the writing process.

The webinar requires a basic understanding of EU’s programme for research and innovation and the application process.

Presenter: Head of Unit Peter Härtwich from the European Commission will explain the structure of the Excellence section and go through what the European Commission requires and expects from applicants.

Efthymios Altsitsiadis, Assistant Professor at Copenhagen Business School, will present how he approaches the Excellence section. Efthymios Altsitsiadis has substantial experience from a number of successful Horizon 2020 applications and from working as an evaluator for the European Commission.
